Keeping fit tips

As the coronavirus pandemic has gripped the world, our lives have changed dramatically over the last 6weeks. We have seen our leisure facilities close, team sports banned and we are no longer allowed to meet with friends for runs or walks in the park.

So how can you carry on, or start, your fitness journey whilst in lockdown?

There are a number of ways in which you can keep yourself fit during lockdown and keeping won’t just be beneficial for you physically, but mentally during these emotional times.

A big hit during lockdown has been PE with Joe. Joe has tailored his PE sessions for all ages and you can either watch them live each morning or take part at time that suits you, as all his workouts are on YouTube. Many fitness plans are available, which will give you home workout guides and meal plans, but make sure it has been developed by a professional before purchasing. Celebrity personal trainer and BSc Sports Science Honours graduate, Maz Atjar has developed plans for both males and females. After collaborating with Actor Luke Jerdy for his Male plan, Maz has also collaborated with his sister, Instagram sensation Arianna Atjar, to create a fitness plan for females which has been winning rave reviews for its positive impact during lockdown. You may want to download an app to keep yourself motivated, Aaptiv and Fiit have some great reviews and can help you keep check on your goals.

Alternatively you may want to just utilise your hour a day, to leave the house and enjoy a daily walk.
